KATHMANDU: Continuous rainfall has caused the Bagmati River to swell beyond the alert level at the Gaurighat Dam Monitoring Center in Kathmandu, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Authorities warned that the water level is still rising and urged residents near riverbanks, as well as travelers along riverside routes, to remain alert and adopt precautionary measures, especially overnight.
