KAVRE: A Koseli Ghar has been brought into operation in the Bethanchowk Rural Municipality, Kavre.
The Koseli Ghar was started under the Women Empowerment Programme as a partnership of the Social Development Ministry of Bagmati Province and Bethanchowk Rural Municipality.
Social Development Minister of Bagmati Province Kanchanchandra Bade inaugurated the Koseli Ghar amid a function on Sunday and pledged further assistance for proper management of the Koseli Ghar.
He expressed confidence that the operation of Koseli Ghar would contribute to entrepreneurship development as well as the economic prosperity of the beneficiaries.
The province government would extend its support for the marketing of local goods by collaborating with the local government, Minister Bade said.
Entrepreneurship training, seed money distribution, purchase of local goods produced by women entrepreneurs groups and operation of Koseli Ghar would be supported, it is said.
So far, 110 women have received entrepreneurship training and formed two women entrepreneurs groups as well to get Rs 100,000 each as the seed money.
Chairperson of Bethanchowk Rural Municipality, Bhagawan Adhikari, said that the Koseli Ghar was introduced as a part of women empowerment for their economic prosperity through entrepreneurship development.
The Koseli Ghar has received soaps, flour of locally produced food grains, apples, paper plates or tree leaves plates (Duna and Tapari), mats, bamboo goods and several others.
