KATHMANDU: The price of gold and silver has increased in the local market today compared to Monday.

The price of gold has increased by Rs 1,500 per tola and silver by Rs 5. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Merchants Federation, the price of one tola of gold has been fixed at Rs 198,700 today.

The same quantity of silver is being bought and sold at Rs 2,360. On Monday, one tola of gold was bought and sold at Rs 197,200, while the same quantity of silver was bought and sold at Rs 2,355.
