KATHMANDU: The Department of Weather Forecast has alerted the public about widespread rainfall likely across the country this afternoon and evening.

According to the division, skies will remain mostly cloudy nationwide this afternoon, with moderate showers expected in several parts of every province. One or two locations in Koshi Province could see heavy rainfall.

Cloudy conditions are also forecast for tonight throughout Nepal. Moderate rain is likely over areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, with scattered showers elsewhere. In addition, isolated heavy rain may occur in parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
