KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Standing Committee member Karna Bahadur Thapa has formally registered a dissenting opinion at the party’s central office.

Thapa submitted his dissent on Thursday, ahead of the party’s second Statute Convention, scheduled to begin on Friday.

Thapa had previously expressed that the provisions in the document on “democratization of party life,” proposed by current party chairman KP Sharma Oli, should maintain the two-term limit for executive positions and the age cap of 70.
