KAILALI: A suspension bridge over the Mohana river was constructed.

The bridge connects Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-13 in Kailali district to Rajghat of Krishnapur Municipality-9 in Kanchanpur district.

With the construction of the bridge, the people from the two district have enjoyed enhanced connectivity as their travel time was cut short.

The people from the Rajghat area have enjoyed comforts for travelling after the bridge construction over the Mohana river, Sharada Devi Chaudhary, a former people’s representative of Krishnapur Municipality said.

The people of Rajghat mostly visit Dhangadhi bazaar to access services from the health care service and others. The market is accessible now after the bridge construction, local resident Padam BK said.

Engineer of Krishnapur Municipality Bishnu Joshi shared that the bridge was constructed in partnership of the local users’ committee and the construction company with an investment of Rs 8 million.
