GAZA: Medical sources in the Gaza Strip have reported that 52 Palestinians were killed over the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli assault on various areas across the Strip.

The sources noted that among the victims were nine Palestinians who were killed while waiting to receive humanitarian aid in the southern part of Gaza.

The bodies of the victims were transferred to several hospitals in Gaza, while ambulance and civil defense teams continue search and rescue operations to recover those still missing under the rubble of homes and buildings targeted by airstrikes.

The Gaza Strip continues to face dire humanitarian and health conditions, amid ongoing Israeli bombardment, a severe shortage of food, medicine, and fuel, and heavy restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid.

On Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli assault, ongoing since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 64,605 martyrs, with 163,316 others wounded.
