KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Sumana Shrestha has refuted rumors claiming she is set to join the interim government.
Speaking in a Facebook Live broadcast on Saturday, she said, “Please do not be misled. I am not joining the Cabinet.”
She emphasized the importance of supporting the Gen-Z movement that brought about political change in the country.
According to her, those who have already had the opportunity to work in government should now step back and assist the new leadership from the “back seat.”
“Friends, what I wanted to say is that the funerals of our young brothers and sisters are not even over yet. This change has come through their sacrifice.
Those of us who have already had the opportunity to serve should not dream of becoming ministers now,” Shrestha added.
