KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has warned of action to its cadres if they were found involved in vandalism and arson committed during the Gen-Z protest.
Issuing a press note on Sunday, Vice Chairman of the party and spokesperson, Agni Prasad Sapkota, said if the investigation finds evidence on involvement of party cadres in such activities, they would face stringent action.
“Our party offices, and houses of dozens of leaders and cadres have been torched and vandalized, which is clear before the people. But, some individuals and groups were spreading rumour, blaming Maoist Centre’s cadres in the arson and vandalism which draws party’s concern,” he said, making aware the party cadres not to be deluded by such misleading content. It weakens the party.
The party, however, condemned the violence and anarchy unleashed by the regressive and anti-democratic and anti-republic elements that infiltrated in the demonstration organized a call of Gen-Z people with genuine demands.
