GAZA: Dozens of Palestinians have been killed across the Gaza Strip since dawn as Israel continues its full-scale ground invasion of Gaza City, the region’s largest urban center, despite mounting international criticism.
Among the dead are a child and his mother, who were killed in an airstrike targeting a residential apartment in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City.
Witnesses report a dramatic escalation in attacks on Gaza City, with continuous explosions destroying dozens of homes.
Naval boats have joined tanks and fighter jets in the ongoing assault, further intensifying the offensive.
Since October 2023, Israel’s military operations in Gaza have resulted in at least 64,964 Palestinian deaths and 165,312 injuries.
Thousands more are believed to be trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings.
In Israel, 1,139 people were killed during the October 7 attacks, and around 200 were taken captive.
