KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to dissolve its Central Committee and form a ‘Special General Convention Organizing Committee’ under the coordination of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

At a Standing Committee meeting held Wednesday at the party office in Parisdanda, it was decided to propose to the Central Committee the dissolution of the current body.

Chairman Prachanda will coordinate the newly formed organizing committee.

The move aims to maintain unity within the party and restructure the Central Committee according to the current situation.

The meeting also decided to propose a date for the special general convention to the Central Committee.
