KATHMANDU: Government spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel, said on Thursday that the government is studying the issue of restricting passports of top leaders.
Speaking to journalists, Kharel explained that the matter is under review.
“Regarding passport restrictions, particularly in cases related to corruption, irregularities, and various crimes—whether big or small—the state mechanisms are conducting investigations. The issue of how to proceed with passports is also being studied,” he stated.
