KATHMANDU: Nepal national T20 cricket team captain and all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has been nominated for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Player of the Month Award.

The ICC announced the nominations for the best player of May on Wednesday, with Airee earning a place on the shortlist following his outstanding performances in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 matches.

Airee will compete for the award alongside Bangladesh cricketers Mushfiqur Rahim and Taijul Islam.

The ICC will determine the winner based on votes from fans and a panel of experts.
