WASHINGTON DC: Billionaire Elon Musk and Prince Andrew have been named in newly released files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The documents, handed to the US House Oversight Committee by the Epstein Estate, include flight manifests, phone logs, financial ledgers, and schedules.
One entry from December 2014 references a planned trip by Musk to Epstein’s island. Musk has previously said he was invited but declined to go.
A flight manifest from May 2000 lists Prince Andrew as a passenger on a flight with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell from New Jersey to Florida.
Maxwell was later convicted of conspiring with Epstein to traffic minors. Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
The files also mention planned meetings with other public figures, including Peter Thiel in 2017, Steve Bannon in 2019, and tentative plans involving Bill Gates in 2014. Gates has previously called his meetings with Epstein a “mistake.”
Democrats on the committee said the records provide further evidence of Epstein’s ties to powerful figures and called for more files to be released.
Republicans accused Democrats of politicizing the case.Epstein died by suicide in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
