KATHMANDU: Continuous rainfall, floods, and landslides have disrupted several key highways in Koshi and Bagmati provinces, according to the Nepal Police.
As of Friday morning, the Koshi Highway remains blocked in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4, Barun of Sankhuwasabha due to persistent rain.
The highway is also impassable at Makalu Rural Municipality-3, Ekuwa, where the road has been blocked for an extended period.
In Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2, Rasuwa, the bridge connecting Nepal to China is completely blocked. The Pasang Lhamu road section in the same municipality has also been closed since early morning due to landslides.
Additionally, in Bhotkoshi Rural Municipality-4, Sindhupalchok, a landslide near Charakilo has fully obstructed the Araniko Highway.
The Nepal Police have urged travelers to check updated road conditions before undertaking any journeys and to exercise caution in affected areas.
