KATHMANDU: On the fourth trading day of the week today (Thursday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) decreased by a single digit. NEPSE, which remained fluctuating throughout the day, ultimately decreased by 5.06 points. The trading amount of NEPSE has also decreased compared to the previous day.
The NEPSE decreased by 5.06 points on Thursday. On Wednesday, however, it had increased by 0.08 points. On Tuesday, it had decreased by 6.31 points. Similarly, on Monday as well, it had decreased by 12.26 points. Decreasing by 0.18 percent today compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE stopped at 2,700.47 points.
On today’s day, the sensitive index also decreased by 0.77 points and stopped at 463.66 points. On the basis of percentage, this is 0.16 percent less compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index decreased by 0.18 percent and the sensitive float index decreased by 0.21 percent.
In the stock market on Thursday, at least 7,743,030 shares of 347 companies were bought and sold in 41,059 transactions. According to this, a transaction of Rs 3.414 billion took place on Thursday.
On Wednesday, however, a transaction of Rs 3.637 billion had taken place. Similarly, on Tuesday, a transaction of Rs 4.047 billion had taken place, whereas on Monday, a transaction of Rs 4.412 billion had taken place.
In the stock market today, the share prices of only 77 companies increased. While the share prices of 181 companies went down, the share prices of 14 companies remained stable. Out of 13 groups traded today (Thursday) in NEPSE, the indices of five groups increased while the indices of eight groups decreased.
According to this, on Tuesday, the index of the Commercial Bank group increased by 0.02 percent. The index of the development bank group decreased by 0.56 percent, while the index of the finance group increased by 0.20 percent.
Similarly, the indices of hotel and tourism decreased by 0.44 percent, hydropower by 0.12 percent, investment by 0.62 percent, life insurance by 0.14 percent, and the manufacturing and processing group by 0.10 percent.
In NEPSE on Thursday, the indices of microfinance increased by 0.04 percent and mutual funds by 0.19 percent. The indices of non-life insurance decreased by 0.30 percent and the other group by 0.86 percent, while the sub-index of the trading group increased by 0.31 percent.
In NEPSE on Thursday, the investors of Apollo Hydropower Limited earned 15 percent. That is, a positive circuit applied to the share price of Apollo. Similarly, the investors of Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited earned 14.99 percent. Likewise, the investors of Prabhu Bank’s debenture lost 5.54 percent of the share price.
On the basis of trading amount, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Limited remained in the foremost position today. On Thursday, a transaction of Rs 319.8 million of this took place.
Similarly, on the basis of the number of shares traded as well, Ankhu Khola itself remained ahead today. On Thursday, at least 829,827 shares of this were traded. Its final trading price today, however, was maintained at Rs 381 per share.
