SIDDHARTHANAGAR: Police in Rupandehi have located more than half of the people reported missing over the past month, reuniting 61 individuals with their families as search efforts continue for the remaining cases.

According to the District Police Office, 108 missing person reports were registered during the month of Jeth. The cases involved 30 children, 48 women and 30 men who had gone out of contact from different parts of the district.

Police investigations led to the recovery of 61 individuals, including 18 children, 29 women and 14 men.

Authorities also traced nine people who had been missing since Poush of the previous fiscal year. Those found included two girls, five women and two men. All have been safely reunited with their families.
