HETAUDA : Authorities have shut down 40 pharmacies across Makawanpur district for operating without renewing their mandatory registrations.
According to the District Administration Office, the closed establishments include general pharmacies, veterinary pharmacies, and Ayurvedic pharmacies.
The action was taken after the businesses failed to renew their registration within the deadline set by the Department of Drug Administration.
DAO said the closures were enforced as part of regulatory monitoring to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical laws and public health standards.
