KATHMANDU: Nepal will face Oman today in the Super Six stage of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers.

Having defeated the UAE by one run and Qatar by five runs in previous matches, Nepal will secure qualification for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup if it beats Oman tonight.

The crucial match between Nepal and Oman — considered decisive for World Cup qualification — will begin at 8:45 PM on Wednesday.

After this fixture, Nepal will play its final Super Six match against Samoa on Friday.

Out of the six teams in the Super Six — Nepal, UAE, Oman, Japan, Qatar, and Samoa — the top three will qualify for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Currently, both Oman and Nepal have six points each, with Oman leading the table on a better net run rate.

The UAE and Japan occupy third and fourth positions with two points each, while Qatar and Samoa remain without a win.
