KATHMANDU: Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has accused YouTube channel Paradygm TV of deliberately attacking his personal life and attempting to assassinate his character through a conspiracy-driven broadcast.
In a Facebook post, Lamichhane wrote, “You may choose anyone you like for your show segments, but ridiculing someone’s life while sitting on a YouTube chair is shameful.”
Naming Paradygm TV directly, he expressed outrage, saying, “The content you produced about me is entirely conspiratorial and aimed at destroying my personal life, dignity, and privacy. The channel has intentionally made a planned attempt to damage my mental peace and reputation through personal character assassination.”
Lamichhane further stated that this act was a “malicious effort to create psychological pressure and exploit my innocent life and sports career for the commercial benefit of the channel.”
He also issued a stern warning, saying, “Do not cross your limits again. The people behind Paradygm TV and those involved in the program should be ashamed for trying to destroy my character.”
Meanwhile, Lamichhane’s team, Biratnagar Kings, issued a statement expressing full support for him.
The team said, “Sandeep is not just a name in Nepali cricket — he is a symbol of hard work, perseverance, and extraordinary talent who inspires the new generation. Mocking or sensationalizing someone’s personal struggle for entertainment is extremely unfortunate and against the spirit of sports.”
Reaffirming their solidarity, the team added, “We stand with Sandeep — not only for his achievements on the field but also for his patience, composure, and dedication off it. We urge everyone to choose empathy over mockery, respect over contempt, and truth over sensationalism.”
