KATHMANDU: Today, devotees across the country celebrated Chhath by offering arghya (ritual offerings) to the setting sun.
Worshippers marked the occasion by presenting fruits, sacred items, and prayers to the Sun God.
The festival will conclude tomorrow with offerings made to the rising sun.
Chhath is observed with deep reverence for family well-being, peace, prosperity, physical health, and fulfillment of wishes.
Devotees throng ponds, rivers, and reservoirs to perform the rituals.
In Kathmandu, several locations were beautifully decorated with Chhath ghats for the festival.
The celebration was also observed along the banks of the Bagmati River in Lalitpur.
