KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has tightened rules on external meetings, requiring prior approval for any such interactions.

On Thursday, the APF headquarters issued a circular to all its offices, instructing personnel not to meet with high-ranking individuals, political leaders, or officials of various ministries without authorization.

The directive emphasizes that all organizational and personal interactions must strictly follow official protocol.

The APF stated that a standing order governing conduct during meetings with diplomatic missions and political leaders has been approved and enforced, mandating full compliance from all personnel.

The circular further warns that any APF member—regardless of rank—found engaging with high-level individuals, social activists, or media outlets in a way that undermines the organization’s goals or discloses confidential information for personal gain will face stern disciplinary action.
