CHITWAN: At the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s (RSP) first general convention on Sunday, Finance Minister and party’s outgoing vice-chairman Swarnim Wagle stated that the party’s goal is to establish a new political culture and ensure Nepal’s progress rather than simply defeat older generations.

Emphasizing that RSP represents hope, solutions, and construction rather than just anger, criticism, and rebellion, Wagle advocated for a competitive economy driven by meritocracy and entrepreneurship instead of crony capitalism.

He envisioned a capable state that serves its citizens, retains its youth by offering local opportunities, and fosters a secure environment for workers and investors alike.
