CHITWAN: Leaders from major political parties have started arriving in Bharatpur, Chitwan, to attend the opening ceremony of the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s (RSP) first general convention, which begins today.
Several prominent figures have already reached the venue, while others are expected to join shortly.
Among the key arrivals are UML leader Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden, and Nepali Communist Party leader Barshaman Pun, along with former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
From Madhesh-based parties, Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav and Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut have also arrived in Chitwan. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa is expected to reach the venue soon.
The participation of leaders across the political spectrum highlights the significance of the RSP’s inaugural general convention, which is being held under heightened security arrangements following recent heavy rainfall in the region.
