KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has extended warm congratulations and best wishes to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and its Chairman, Rabi Lamichhane, on the significant occasion of the party’s first general convention.

In an official statement, Thapa praised the rapid growth and political standing of the relatively young party, highlighting how quickly it has managed to establish itself as a formidable force in national politics with widespread public support.

He commended the party’s journey under Lamichhane’s leadership, from its early organizational setup to its subsequent electoral achievements.

Thapa noted that the inaugural national convention represents a historic milestone for the RSP to evolve into a more mature, responsible, and visionary political entity by refining its core philosophies, organizational structures, and long-term policies.

He expressed high expectations that the event would provide fresh democratic energy and clear ideological direction, encouraging the party to strongly embrace democratic practices and remain strictly accountable in safeguarding citizens’ constitutional rights.

Concluding his message, the NC President wished Chairman Lamichhane and the entire RSP family absolute success in their upcoming political journey.
