Nepal to face Afghanistan in Hong Kong Super Sixes today

HONG KONG: Nepal will take on Afghanistan today in the Hong Kong Super Sixes Cricket Tournament.

The competition will begin at 8:45 AM (local time) on Friday at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok, Hong Kong.

Nepal has already announced its squad for the event under the captaincy of experienced batsman Sharad Vesawkar. The six-over format demands quick pace and unique strategic play.

Along with captain Sharad Vesawkar, the Nepali squad includes Sandeep Jora, Lokesh Bam, Mohammad Adil Alam, Basir Ahmad, Rupesh Singh, and Rashid Khan.

A total of 12 nations are participating in the tournament, divided into four groups. Nepal has been placed in Group ‘A’ alongside South Africa and Afghanistan.

Group ‘B’ includes Australia, England, and the UAE; Group ‘C’ features India, Pakistan, and Kuwait; while Group ‘D’ consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and host Hong Kong.

Each match in the tournament will be six overs long, with six players per team allowed on the field.
