Nepal loses to South Africa in Hong Kong Sixes Cricket

KATHMANDU: Nepal faced defeat against South Africa in the Hong Kong Sixes Cricket tournament.

In the match held this morning, South Africa defeated Nepal by four wickets. Chasing a target of 59 runs, South Africa reached the total in just 3.4 overs, losing two wickets.

Blake David Simpson top-scored for South Africa with an unbeaten 30 runs, while opener Jorich van Schalkwyk made 17 and Abdullah Beyoumi added 16.

Captain Jordan Morris was dismissed without scoring. For Nepal, Lokesh Bam took two wickets.

Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, Nepal were bowled out for 58 runs in the allotted six overs.

Rashid Khan top-scored with 16 runs. South African bowlers Jorich van Schalkwyk, Abdullah Beyoumi, and Blake David Simpson each claimed two wickets.

Nepal, failing to progress from the group stage, will now compete in the Bowl League along with three other teams.

Nepal will play two Bowl League matches later today and face the UAE tomorrow. The top two teams from the Bowl League will qualify for the Bowl Final.
