Pakistan assists Bharatpur Eye Hospital

KATHMANDU:  Pakistan has provided monetary assistance of Rs 1 million to the Bharatpur Eye Hospital.

At a programme organized in the hospital premises, Chitwan on Tuesday, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, handed over a cheque to support the paperless digitization of Bharatpur Eye Hospital (BEH).

“The support aims to assist BEH to upgrade its infrastructure and efficiency through Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, and fully digitize administrative and clinical processes,” said the Pakistani Embassy in a press statement.

Ambassador Hashmi noted that Pakistan has a proud history of collaboration with the hospital contributing to its development and capacity building over the years since it was built with the financial help of the BCCI Foundation of Pakistan in 1987.

In recent years, Pakistan Embassy added pharmacy, OTs, outreach Ambulance and exchanges in the field of eye care and medical cooperation.
