KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 5.70 points on Wednesday to close at 2,625.70 points. A total of shares worth NPR 4 billion 5 million 372 thousand were traded during the session.
Out of the companies traded on NEPSE today, share prices of 143 companies increased, while 104 companies saw a decline in their share prices. The share prices of 11 companies remained unchanged.
Among today’s gainers, investors who sold shares of Swastik Laghubitta earned the highest profits, whereas those who sold shares of Barahi Hydropower suffered the highest losses.
Although the NEPSE index posted only a marginal gain, sub-indices of all groups remained positive except for the Hotel & Tourism and Non-Life Insurance sectors.
