KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has enforced strict campaign rules, banning digital advertisements, television scrolls, mall displays, call centre outreach, direct messages, and street performances.

Political promotion is permitted only through a single, officially registered website.

Parties and candidates may place campaign materials only inside their own offices and are barred from using digital boards, flex, or glow signboards elsewhere.

The code of conduct also prohibits displaying party flags or election symbols on private property or in public spaces, including buildings, parks, roads, walls, and poles.

Campaign materials are limited to cloth banners measuring up to three feet wide and four feet long.

The distribution or use of branded items such as caps, T-shirts, masks, bags, stickers, or badges with the party’s name on them is prohibited.

Rallies and public meetings may be held only between 7 AM and 7 PM with prior local-level approval, and the use of children in campaign activities is banned.

The use of vehicles, musical instruments, and decorative displays in rallies is banned.

Graffiti is prohibited in all forms, and the use of national flags is restricted to a maximum of ten per campaign event.
