SUNSARI: One person was shot dead in Laukahi of Koshi Rural Municipality–1 in Sunsari last night.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bahadur Khadka, the deceased has been identified as Jay Shah of the same locality.

Police have intensified their search for the person responsible for the incident and have launched an investigation.

Shah was shot while he was travelling in a city safari (electric auto-rickshaw) after purchasing daily consumer goods. Police have confiscated bullets from the incident site.
