SUNSARI:  The situation of law and order in Laukahi has come to a normal situation.

The place had been tense since this morning after Vijay Sah of Laukahi in Koshi Rural Municipality-1 was killed in a gunfight with the Armed Police Force.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bahadur Khadka said that the situation in Laukahi has returned to normal situation after an all-party meeting held at the District Administration Office, Sunsari reached an agreement.

It was agreed that the incident would be investigated impartially and action would be taken against the culprits, that if the family of the deceased wishes to get a job in the Armed Police, they would be provided assistance, that the Armed Police would provide Rs 100,000 to the victim’s family for their expenses.

Furthermore, another Armed Police team would be sent to Laukahi, shared Rajkumar Sah of Koshi Rural Municipality-1.
