SURKHET: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has announced that the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming election scheduled for March 5 has been resolved.

He stressed the importance of the federal government being more committed to conducting the elections in a fair and fearless manner.

During the third full meeting of the CPN (UML) House of Representatives Election Constituency Coordination Committee, Area No. 2, which took place today in Surkhet, CM Kandel, also party’s central secretary, noted that, unlike previous instances, there is now clarity regarding the timely completion of the elections.

He stated, “Initially, there was some confusion regarding the elections due to the names of political parties being displayed.

Now that all parties are prepared to participate in the elections, the likelihood of postponement has been eliminated. Neither the government nor any other entity should remain uncertain about this matter.”

“The government asserts that elections will take place, but if the environment for campaigning is not fostered by imposing ‘travel ban’ on our party’s chairman, it will lead to complications.” Kandel said.
