Police in Surkhet district on Saturday evening arrested four persons in possession of almost Rs 5.10 lakh and 7.450gm of heroin from Birendranagar Municipality-6. They were apprehended from Milan Restaurant and Cottage.

The arrested have been identified as Bishnudebi Shahi (51), owner of Milan Restaurant and Cottage, and two 18-year-old youths whose names have not been disclosed. All are residents of the same municipality in the Surkhet district. The fourth person arrested was Saru Shahi (19), a resident of Guras Rural Municipality-5 in Dailekh district.

They were peddling the heroin in the hotel. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Surkhet-based District Police Office (DPO) nabbed them with the substances and money while probing the hotel room.
