KATHMANDU: Amid growing industry backlash over the newly introduced Educational Consultancies Regulations 2026, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports has called key stakeholders for crucial talks today to resolve mounting policy challenges and streamline the sector.
Led by Education Minister and Government Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel, the meeting brings together major umbrella organizations, including ECAN, to address private sector grievances and collect feedback on the new guidelines.
Discussions will focus primarily on the current operational hurdles facing study-abroad agencies, improving service quality, and refining the regulatory framework.
