KATHMANDU: The film Aa Bata Aama, which premiered today, tells a story that closely reflects the lives of ordinary Nepalis, actor Paul Shah said while interacting with audiences at cinema halls across Kathmandu on its opening day.
Shah said the film allowed him to portray a role he had long aspired to play. While avoiding plot details, he said he had given his best to a character rooted in family, village, and social realities. He expressed confidence that viewers would relate to the story and recommend the film to others.
The film also stars Bipana Thapa, Pradeep Rawat, Usha Upreti, Simran Pant, Saigrace Pokharel, Gajit Bista, and Begam Nepali. Thapa said she joined the project because of its strong subject, noting that audiences have described the film as feeling like their own story.
Directed by Chandra Panta, the film features dialogue by Abhimanyu Nirabi, choreography by Gambhir Bista, and music by Koshish Chhetri, Babul Giri, and Thaneshwor Gautam.
