NEPSE declines marginally with Rs 8.69 billion turnover today

KATHMANDU: On the fourth trading day of the week, today (Wednesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has also decreased. NEPSE, which has been continuously falling this week, decreased by a tiny margin today.

NEPSE decreased by 0.04 points on Wednesday. With this, NEPSE has reached the 2,662.09 point level. NEPSE had decreased by 10.25 points on Sunday, 26.05 points on Monday, and 10.25 points on Tuesday.

The Sensitive Index, however, increased by 0.81 points and reached the 455.20 point level. The Sensitive Index increased by 0.17 percent compared to the previous trading day. In NEPSE on Wednesday, 22,282,050 shares were bought and sold in 82,450 transactions of 329 companies. In this, a turnover equivalent to Rs 8.692 billion occurred on Wednesday.

In NEPSE, a turnover of Rs 11.659 billion had occurred on Sunday, while a turnover equivalent to Rs 10.773 billion occurred on Monday. Similarly, a turnover equivalent to Rs 8.616 billion occurred on Tuesday.

While 13 groups were traded in NEPSE on Wednesday, only the indices of five groups increased. The indices of the remaining eight groups turned red.

Accordingly, the indices of the Commercial Bank group increased by 0.10 and the Development Bank by 0.18 percent. Finance decreased by 0.25, and Hotel and Tourism by 0.63 percent. Similarly, the indices of hydropower increased by 0.47 and the investment group by 0.07 percent.

Similarly, life insurance decreased by 0.23 percent, the manufacturing and processing group by 0.46 percent, the microfinance group by 0.06 percent, and mutual funds by 0.36 percent. Likewise, the Non-Life Insurance group increased by 0.08 percent.

The Others group decreased by 0.24, and the Trading group by 0.23 percent.

In NEPSE on Wednesday, while the prices of 113 companies increased, 133 companies decreased. The share prices of 13 companies remained stable.

In NEPSE, which was fluctuating throughout the day, on Wednesday, investors of Ridi Power Company earned the most, by 9.67 percent. The final trading price of Ridi Power was maintained at Rs 334.

Similarly, investors of Super-Mai Hydropower lost the most share value, by 6.39 percent. Its final share price was maintained at Rs 835.

Ridi Power Company was the company with the most trading today. A turnover of Rs 654.7 million occurred for it on Wednesday. The final share price of Ridi was maintained at Rs 334 per share.
