DOLAKHA: Police fired warning shots into the air at a polling station in Dolakha today after a dispute during voting escalated, local authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred at the Malu polling station when individuals allegedly attempted to manhandle election staff, prompting security personnel to intervene and discharge aerial shots to restore order.

An official at the District Administration Office in Dolakha said the situation has since been brought under control and voting activities have resumed.

No injuries were immediately reported, and authorities said the polling process is continuing under security supervision.
