DANG: A construction worker was killed after being buried under a pile of sand dumped by an excavator at a highway construction site in Gadhawa Rural Municipality-2.

Police identified the victim as 45-year-old Lalmani Yadav, who was working on the Deukhuri Kalakate–Sikta Postal Highway project.

Authorities said the excavator operator reportedly unloaded sand at the site without noticing the worker nearby, leading to the fatal accident.

The operator has been taken into custody as police investigate the incident.
