KATHMANDU: Voting has begun under the Bagmati Province Convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), with delegates casting ballots through electronic voting machines at a venue in Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu.

Polling is scheduled to continue until 5:00 PM, with more than 1,000 voters eligible to participate. Party representatives have been required to present official photo identification cards and proof of levy payment to cast their votes.

The election process was originally scheduled during the province convention that began in Hetauda on June 9, but was postponed due to technical and managerial issues.

According to the party’s election committee, voter list verification, adjustment of voter records, and technical testing of the electronic voting system were completed before polling commenced.

The party’s national convention is scheduled to be held in Chitwan from June 21 to 23.
