KATHMANDU:  Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Balendra Shah (Balen), has expressed deep grief over the demise of Mohan Prasad Oli, father of UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Balen also extended condolence to Chairman Oli. Taking to social media on Friday, leader Balen reminded the role and importance of father, invoking a Sanskrit chant: none than father can be a guardian, guru and savior in one’s life.

He informed when he lost his father it was an irreparable loss; it was a moment causing sheer void. “I’ve experienced how irreparable it is to lose father. I extend condolence to former Prime Minister Oli at such grief.”

Last rites of the departed one were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday itself.
