KATHMANDU: World Meteorological Day is being observed in Nepal as well by organizing various programs under the slogan “Today’s observation, tomorrow’s safety.”
On this occasion, discussions will be held on increasing awareness about weather, the importance of forecasting systems, and measures to reduce climate risks.
Meteorologist Sujan Subedi from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that programs have been planned on the occasion to discuss increasing awareness about weather, the importance of forecasting systems, and measures to reduce climate risks.
World Meteorological Day is celebrated every year on March 23. On this occasion, awareness is spread worldwide about the role of weather and climate services and their contribution to human life, agriculture, water resources, and disaster management.
