KATHMANDU: An earthquake struck with its epicenter near Rayal in Bajhang district on Monday.

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur, an earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred at 1:14 p.m. today, with its epicenter near Rayal in Bajhang.

Earlier, on March 17, an earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale struck with its epicenter near Sitaula in Darchula district. As Nepal lies in the Himalayan region, earthquakes of varying magnitudes occur at different times.
