Bolero jeep carrying urea fertilizer crashes in Parbat, driver dies

PARBAT: Driver Sajjan Pariyar died when the Bolero jeep he was driving met with an accident on the river bank in Mudikuwa, Phalebas Municipality-4 along the Kusma-Parbat section of the Kaligandaki Highway on Monday. 

The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 8059) carrying urea fertilizer from the district headquarters of Kusmabazar and heading toward Phalebas Municipality, fell almost 30 meters below the road on Monday evening. 

According to Dinesh Poudel, Police inspector at the District Police Office, the 35 years old driver was all alone. He died after being rescued, on the way to the province hospital. 

Police have stated there is a probability  that the jeep might have met with the accident due to rain and the uphill road being slippery.  

Armed Police Force Superintendent Kshitij Chhetri informed that a team deployed from the Chandika Battalion of the Armed Police Force and the District Police Office completed the rescue under difficult conditions.
