KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an individual on Thursday for defrauding people with promises to send them to Croatia. 

Rabindra Jung Rayamajhi, 45, of Gulmi, living in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-7, Bhaktapur, has been arrested. 

Based on reports from victims, police from the Kathmandu Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested him from Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-7, Bhaktapur, for swindling three people out of Rs 1.15 million and then going contactless.  

Police have said that Rayamajhi has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, for further necessary investigation and action.
