KATHMANDU: Shinta Mani Mustang, located in the Mustang district of Nepal, has achieved international recognition by securing the top spot in Robb Report’s prestigious list of the “50 Greatest Luxury Hotels on Earth for 2026”.

The Himalayan retreat outperformed world-renowned luxury properties across the globe, earning top honors for its exceptional service quality, cultural authenticity, management, and unique geographical location.

Rwanda’s Singita Kwitonda & Kataza Lodge ranked second, followed by Scotland’s Hope Lodge in third, Japan’s Park Hyatt Tokyo fourth, and India’s Shakti 360 Leti / Shakti Prana fifth.

Situated on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River at an altitude of approximately 2,800 meters, the resort was designed by acclaimed architect Bill Bensley.

Built in a traditional Himalayan architectural style, the exclusive property features 29 luxury suites.

Industry experts note that this international accolade firmly establishes Nepal on the global map not only as a hub for adventure travel, but as a premier destination for world-class luxury tourism.
