KATHMANDU: Gunakar Bhatta has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission.

Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal stated that the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday appointed Bhatta to the position of Vice-Chairman of the Commission.

He is a former executive director of Nepal Rastra Bank.
