KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane has urged industrialists and business leaders not to fear government actions, clarifying that the focus is on policy reform, not intimidation.
During a meeting with private sector representatives on Sunday, he said the government aims to improve governance and strengthen cooperation with businesses.
He added that while the state will monitor activities that harm the economy, it does not intend to target entrepreneurs. Acknowledging past political instability, he assured such pressure on businesses would not be repeated.
Lamichhane also said reforms, good governance, and economic restructuring remain key priorities, urging businesses to cooperate and operate confidently in an investment-friendly environment.
