Gold price edges up by Rs 800 on Friday; silver declines

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market saw a moderate increase on Friday, while silver prices registered a decline.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold went up by Rs 800 per tola (11.66 grams) today, trading at Rs 279,100.

On Thursday, the precious metal was traded at Rs 278,300 per tola.

In contrast, the price of silver dropped by Rs 55 per tola today. Silver is currently being traded at Rs 4,180 per tola, down from Thursday’s trading price of Rs 4,235 per tola.
