KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have reported that seven people were killed and 87 others injured in road traffic accidents across the country during the 24-hour period.
Madhesh Province recorded the highest number of fatalities, with three deaths and 29 injuries. Koshi Province reported two deaths and 18 injuries. Lumbini Province and Bagmati Province each recorded one death and seven injuries.
The Kathmandu Valley reported no fatalities but recorded 20 injuries. Karnali Province registered four injuries without any deaths, while Sudurpashchim Province reported two injuries and no fatalities. Gandaki Province recorded no deaths or injuries during the 24-hour period.
According to Nepal Police, the nationwide figures highlight the continued impact of road traffic accidents, with a total of seven deaths and 87 injuries recorded across the country within a single day.
